Harry Farfan
We are very sad to report the death of popular sculptor Harry Farfan, who died on Thursday, Jan. 6 doing what he loved.
He was found without vital signs after a routine check on the pier by a Cobourg Police officer, where he had completed four ice sculptures -- a bear, a goose, a rabbit and a wolf -- along the rocks on the east pier.
Police said they believe there is nothing suspicious with the death and said it appears Farfan was gathering up the snow to make ice for sculpting.
Park users will remember Harry for the wonderful sand sculptures he created along the beach during the summer months and the ice and snow sculptures that seemed to appear miraculously around The Park.
A master sculpture, Harry Farfan will certainly be missed.
